In Firehouse, we see all facets of these firefighters and their work through Jill Freedman’s camera lens and Dennis Smith’s text to recreate the daily life of firefighters that took place during the late 1970s with Engine 82, Ladder 31 in the South Bronx and Engine 69, Ladder 28 in Harlem in New York City. Not much has changed in almost fifty years.
